I primered the bare metal parts of the car, notice how well the lower quarter panel now fits the lower door contour!
I started to work on the passenger side today, stripping the paint to see how much of the factory metal can be saved. This side is in a  lot better shape, not nearly as much rust. I will only need to do the outer wheel well on this side. I think I’ll replace from the body line down and only forward of the wheel well maybe 4 inches but all the way to the back.

The body lines look pretty good. The primer sure showed me all the places that need fixing. I will use a glazing putty now to fix the minor imperfections.

I stripped part of the roofs paint, the metal looks pretty good. I’ll grind out the factory filler and replace with lead and All Metal filler.
