Here are some pics after I welded and filled the seams. I was pretty happy with how things were going until I noticed that the ‘bulge’ or shape of the fender didn’t match the factory shape. So when you ran your hand from the door jamb across to the newly added section there was a bulge in the factory portion but not the NPD fender. I heated the high spots with a torch and pounded them in and formed the shape with filler.
I decided that was no way to go with this car since I’ve spent so much time and money already. I stopped and ordered a full quarter from goodmark. It should be here in a few days. I will keep you posted!
